Saint Joseph of Cupertino is honored as a patron of students, examinations, people with intellectual disabilities, aviation, and astronauts.
Accounts of his life describe significant difficulties with learning, which initially stood in the way of his acceptance into religious life. After pleading with the friars, he was allowed to work in their stables. There, he so impressed them with his devotion and simple nature that they accepted him into the Order. Joseph was said to have intense ecstatic visions and eventually began to levitate, to the amazement of those around him.
Your vigil will be carefully dressed, blessed, petitioned, and burned on your behalf by Divine Harmony Spiritual Church. You will receive a photograph of your candle vigil.
