According to legend, Cyprian was a highly accomplished magician whose workings against the Christian woman Justina repeatedly failed against the strength of her faith. This experience led to his conversion to Christianity, his eventual elevation within the Church, and his martyrdom alongside Justina. His transformation from magician to Christian saint has given him a distinctive place at the crossroads of Christian devotion and magical tradition.
In folk-magical practice, Saint Cyprian is called upon to bless and strengthen spiritual workers, deepen magical knowledge, protect practitioners from spiritual attack, and defend those facing unjust opposition or persecution because of their beliefs. He may also be petitioned for assistance with ancestral practices, spirit communication, and workings involving the dead.
Your vigil will be carefully dressed, blessed, petitioned, and burned on your behalf by Divine Harmony Spiritual Church. You will receive a photograph of your candle vigil. If you select the optional emailed report, you will also receive our observations and interpretation of any signs seen during the burn.
