Disenchantment work seeks to break the spell of idealization so that a person, relationship, or situation is viewed without longing or romantic illusion. When directed toward a couple, it is used to diminish mutual attraction, affection, excitement, and interest until the connection begins to lose its appeal and the two naturally grow apart.
The vigil may also be petitioned to help someone let go of an consuming infatuation, fixation, fantasy, or unhealthy attachment. Unlike Break Up or Inflammatory Confusion work, which seeks to provoke arguments and hostility, Disenchantment focuses on making the attraction itself fade. Unlike Cut and Clear, it may be directed toward one person’s interest or toward the mutual bond between two people.
Your vigil will be carefully dressed, blessed, petitioned, and burned on your behalf by Divine Harmony Spiritual Church. You will receive a photograph of your candle vigil. If you select the optional emailed report, you will also receive our observations and interpretation of any signs seen during the burn.
